Coron is composed of seven (7) Urban Barangays and sixteen (16) Rural Barangays based on PSA criteria. Out of sixteen (16) Rural Barangays, five (5) belong to Island Barangays and as one of the three municipalities in it is said that aside from these eighteen (18) Inlands, five (5) are Island Barangays. The municipality is composed of around fifty (50) Islands and Islets, many of which are still unnamed.

    The population of the Municipality of Coron, Palawan based on the 2020 Census on Population was 65,855. This represented 7.01% of the total population of Palawan province, or 2.04% of the overall population of the region.
