The Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) is tasked with delivering social services and programs that promote the welfare and well-being of the municipality’s residents. Its primary functions include designing and implementing social welfare initiatives for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and families in need. The MSWDO also provides emergency assistance during crises, coordinates rehabilitation and reintegration efforts for marginalized populations, and ensures the provision of essential social services. Furthermore, the office advocates for human rights protection and fosters community development to enhance the overall quality of life for all residents.
