HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Batay sa talaan ng Kasaysayan at ayon na rin sa natandaan ng mga mamamayan taong 1930 itinatag ang Barangay Guadalupe, naging Barangay ito dahil sa pamilyang Sandoval at Fernandez, ang unang pangalan nito ay “Binalabag”.Tinawag itong “Binalabag” dahil sa bundok na nakabalagbag.noong 1935 nagkaroon dito ng pagmimina.Ang mga naunang nanirahan sa Barangay na ito ay ang pamilyang Rabonga,Labadan,Delos Angeles,Apgao at Labanan.Naitatag ang Pamahalaang Barangay na ito sa Pamumuno ni G. Calexto bilang unang Tenyente del Bario taong 1932-1935, tatlong taon lang siyang nanatili sa kanyang panunungkulan, sinundan naman siya ni. G. Santiago Cabebe na nanungkulan bilang isa ring Tinyente del Barrio taong 1935-1937. Ang iba pang mga taong nanungkulan dito bilang mga Tenyente del Barrio at Punong Barangay ay sina:

Barangay Guadalupe is situated in the Municipality of Coron. It is bounded on the East by Poblacion 6, on the North by BarangaySan Nicholas,on the South by Barangay Bintuan and on the west by Barangay Bintuan.
